ASSOCHAM congratulates Ms Mamata Banerjee on taking oath as W Bengal CM for 3rd term

Kolkata :  ASSOCHAM today congratulated Ms Mamata Banerjee on being sworn in as Chief Minister of West Bengal for the third consecutive term, assuring her of maximum industry support to fight Covid-19 pandemic and taking the state on faster pace of progress and prosperity.

 

  ''ASSOCHAM which was born in Calcutta in 1920 has been making its own modest contribution for the welfare of its people and progress of the state,'' the Chamber President Mr Vineet Agarwal said. He said, '' the ASSOCHAM would fully stand with the Chief Minister in all the policy decisions and their implementation at the ground level in containing and eliminating the pandemic from the state and the country''.


 

Mr Agarwal said, ''We would also be happy to be partners in the post-Covid way forward for speeding up industrialisation of West Bengal as also leveraging its inherent advantages for overall economic development of the state. With top class human resource and institutions of excellence, the state has a great potential. Besides, its locational advantage can also be fully exploited for international trade with the South East Asia''.

 

The ASSOCHAM would soon reach out to the state with specific development measures for a post pandemic world even as the chamber is ready to lend full support to meet the ongoing health challenge.
