LAMP LIGHTING & COMMISSINING CEREMONY OF NURSING CADETS

 

Lamp Lighting Ceremony of 30 Nursing Cadets of Batch XI and Commissioning Ceremony of 29 graduates of Batch VII, College of Nursing, Command Hospital (EC) Kolkata was held at the Command Hospital here today, 26 March 2021. Lamp lighting ceremony marks the successful completion of preliminary training and donning Nurse’s uniform for the first time, symbolizing their

 readiness to undertake this noble profession. The ceremony symbolizes transference of light of wisdom from senior nurses to future generation nurses pledging to carry forward this noble profession with purity of thought and sanctity of profession. The 29 graduates commissioned today underwent extensive  training to would into confident and competent professionals capable of delivering  high quality patient care with compassion and selfless devotion. These graduates are now commissioned into Military Nursing Service to shoulder the great responsibility of taking care of the Defense personnel and their families.

     Maj Gen SR Ghosh, MG (Med), HQ Eastern Command, Chief Guest for the ceremony, Brig Subir Modak, Dean & Dy Commandant, Brig HV Gomathy, Brig MNS HQ EC graced the occasion.
