Kolkata : The Murshidabad Kings & Kueens officially unveiled their new jersey ahead of Season 3 of the Bengal Pro T20 League at a glittering ceremony held at Hashtag, Kolkata, on Sunday evening.
The event witnessed the presence of players, team officials, sponsors and supporters, creating an atmosphere of excitement as the franchise prepared for the upcoming season. Adding a touch of glamour to the occasion, actress Darshana Banik attended the launch and interacted with players and guests.
The newly unveiled jersey symbolises the passion, pride and fighting spirit of the franchise, which represents the Murshidabad and Nadia districts of West Bengal in the Bengal Pro T20 League.
Speaking on the occasion, Pratiik Jalan, Co-owner of Murshidabad Kings & Kueens, said the jersey reflects the identity and aspirations of the team.
“The jersey represents the passion, pride and fighting spirit of Murshidabad Kings. We are extremely excited to unveil our official colours and look forward to an exciting season ahead with the support and love of our fans,” he said.
Co-owner Yash Jain described the launch as a significant milestone for the franchise ahead of the new campaign.
“This is a very special moment for the franchise as we officially launch our jersey for the upcoming season. The energy and enthusiasm surrounding the team has been incredible and we are confident of making our supporters proud,” he said.
The Murshidabad Kings will be led by Abhishek Raman, with Subham Chatterjee serving as vice-captain, while the Murshidabad Kueens will be captained by Tanusree Sarkar, with Prativa Rana as vice-captain.
Both teams will be aiming for a strong performance in the third edition of the Bengal Pro T20 League, with management expressing confidence in the squad's ability to compete at the highest level.
Owned by JJ Sport Ventures Pvt. Ltd., a consortium formed by Jalan Builders and Pritam Electricals, the franchise has steadily built a strong presence in Bengal cricket and continues to invest in the development of sporting talent across the region.
With the jersey now officially unveiled and preparations in full swing, the Murshidabad Kings & Kueens are set to begin their Season 3 campaign with renewed enthusiasm and high expectations.
