Kolkata : An evening of talent, transformations, music & a lot of fun at the entrancing evening at INIFD Salt Lake’s 'Annual interior design exhibition' "INFUSIO” 2022. It was held on the 29th and 30th of April, 2022, at CII- Suresh Neotia Centre of Excellence for Leadership. The event was divided in two segments. The first half showcased the amazing talents of the budding designers followed by the musical saga of X=Prem in the evening. Gearing up for the film “X = Prem's theatrical release, the entire star cast, musical team and renowned director Srijit Mukherji, were present during the second half of the event. The visiting team included Arjun Chakrabarty, Madhurima Basak, along with newcomers Anindya Sengupta and Shruti Das. The film's music is composed by debutant composer Shanai who was also present at the event with eminent singers Sahana Bajpaie and Samantak Sinha. This year INIFD Saltlake’s exhibition was a platform to showcase ‘DESIGN: INSIDE -OUTSIDE’. Post pandemic-The design philosophy, has evolved and new, sustainable thinking patterns have
emerged. Keeping this in mind, the exhibition was spread across three sections - civic amenities that looked into the regular needs of the common human beings and the problems they face in their day-to-day life; transformable furniture which was an endeavour to create multi-utility furniture for small spaces; and home accessories that spanned eras, regions and art forms. There were two selfie booths designed by the freshers in two different styles Indian style and the Egyptian era. The exhibition was inaugurated on April 29th with the welcoming of the renowned artist Shri Shubhaprasanna Bhattacharjee. After the inauguration ceremony, the civic amenities prototype hall was judged by Mr. Debopam Sarkar (journalist), Ms. Soma Kazi (Structural Engineer), and Mr. Jayanta Saha (ACP, Bidhanngar), Ar. Raja Sinha. “INFUSIO by INIFD Salt Lake motivates and inspires students to create designs. Our elite students showcase illustrations and prototypes that greatly inspire them to grasp the ability to use their innovation and creativity. It brings out the real talent and skills of an individual. And this time having the whole team of X = Prem with the director himself was cherry on the cake.” said Mr Arnab Ray, centre manager, INIFD Salt Lake. Helmed to be one of the unconventional films under the banner of SVF in 2022, X=Prem is all set to release in the month of June. ‘X=Prem’ deals with the complexities of human emotions and selflessness of love as well as the pain one has to face in his life. Wonderfully depicting every phase of one’s life, X=Prem promises to give an edge of the surrealism that science effervescences with love in a heartwarming romantic journey. Srijit Mukherji, director, said, “X = Prem is really close to my heart. It is definitely a new age romantic film that will reflect the beautiful shades of college romance but very different from the core. The songs already garnered huge response and I hope this time the audience will love the monochrome journey of the film. In this musical evening at Salt Lake’s INIFD event ‘Infusio’ seeing the enthusiastic response from the students fills my heart.’’ Arjun Chakrabarty, excited about the film, said “I think this kind of romance with
elements of science is quite a new genre to Bengali audience and has not been utilized in Bengali films before. The perfect blend of romance, drama and science will definitely intrigue the audience. And moreover, when the man behind such thought is someone like Srijit Mukherji, you can put your entire faith.” The music of the film plays an eminent role in binding the narrative of the unique tale of love. Saptak Sanai Das, the debutant music composer of X = Prem, exclaimed, “While preparing the songs it really filled my heart with multitude of emotions and the continuing love receiving from the audiences on the songs never cease to amaze me. Extremely grateful to Srijit Da that he helped in every possible way in this musical journey.” The lyrics of the songs has been penned by Dhrubojyoti Chakraborty, Barish and Srijit Mukherji. Srijit Mukherji wrote the lyrics for the song ‘Raikishori’ and he has given lyrics for a song after a long time. The evening of 30th of April, 2022, the program started with a presentation by alumni student Mr. Sayantan Dana followed by a vendor presentation by Skipper and a debate competition by the students, the topic of which was MANUAL DRAWING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN DIGITAL DRAWING followed by the fun evening with the team of X=Prem.
