Kolkata: The passion, the emotion, and the spirit that oozes out of Kolkata during Durga Puja across Housing complexes captivated celebrity singer Soumitra Roy of Bhoomi, Siddhartha Shankar Roy, Sidhu of Cactus and actress Solanki Roy as they paid visits to apartments of Merlin.
Merlin Group organised a Puja Parikrama by these celebrities on three days of Durga Puja to adjudge the third edition of “Merlin Er Sera Pujo 2021 Sera Pujo Award”. actress Solanki Roy , Singers Soumitra Roy of Bhoomi, Siddhartha Shankar Ray, Sidhu of Cactus and roamed around 14 housing apartments of Merllinon Mahasaptami, Mahasthami and Mahanavami respectively.
Merlin Group, India’s leading real estate conglomerate instituted “Merlin er Sera Pujo”, a recognition to inspire the puja organizing committees across selected Housing apartments of Merlin in West Bengal in 2019. The aim was to recognize the spirit of celebration of Durga Puja in Housing apartments in an innovative way. This is the third year of the award. Merlin Warden Lakeview, Merlin Uttara, Merlin Maximus, Merlin Jabakusum, Merlin Iland, Merlin Legacy, Merlin Waterfront, Merlin Sapphire, Merln Twins, Merlin Laurel Garden, Merlin Crest, Merlin Vasundhara, Merlin Emerald participated in Merliner Sera Pujo award competition.
The sound of intense beats coming from the dhak mixed with the aroma of the dhunuchi lit , women Clad in the most beautiful attires, adorning the heaviest of jewels and thickest of bangles with sindoor and bindis on their temple and the quintessential taste of the traditional Bhog prepared with devotion, mesmerised the judges and officials of Merlin. The adherence to covid protocol and ubiquitous masks and sanitisers in all housing apartments of Merlin across Kolkata,Konnagar, Sodepur made them appreciate the preparedness of the housing apartments.
Shri Saket Mohta, Managing Director, Merlin Group, said , “ We at Merlin Group ,instituted this award to inspire residents across our housing apartments in Kolkata to celebrate Durga Puja, the biggest ever festival of Bengal with much grandeur and fanfare three years back. Even the pandemic could not dampen the spirit of the residents as they displayed celebration with adherence to covid protocol.
