METRO RAILWAY ARRANGES MASSIVE PASSENGER AWARENESS PROGRAMME FOR “NO MASK NO METRO”

Metro Railway authority recently launched an awareness campaign at stations and trains to communicate to the commuters about how to stop the steady rise of the Covid infection in the city and by adhering to the Covid protocols by mandatorily using masks while travelling by Metro. The slogan indeed was- “No Mask, No Metro”.

The Metro Railway Protection Force or RPF also joined hands for this massive awareness campaign to alert and educate commuters to use masks for protecting themselves from Covid-19 pandemic. RPF personnel and other Metro staff have been going from station to station to check whether the  commuters are following the basic Covid norms of wearing masks inside the station premises and trains.

The Metro authority tried to talk to commuters to make them realize the seriousness of the matter in view of the recent surge in Covid cases in the country.

Station staff also attempted educating commuters about the right ways to use masks and requested them not to enter Metro premises without any mask or improperly wearing masks. This campaign was also conducted on-board. Announcements were made through mouth hailers and Public Address System so that commuters follow the basic rules strictly.
